Power Pulse Digital

Digital Welding machine

The MIG/MAG and MIG/MAG Pulsed welding machine boasts an outstanding performance in welding common and stainless steels, aluminum and alloys.

The special programs created by our labs ensure our customers excellent cosmetic and metallurgical results.

The latest Weco Digital Control Technology, the Weco Multivoltage, PFC and the Quick Setting unser interface system ensure perfect results in any operating condition.

MMA, TIG DC LIFT and  GOUGING processes are also available.

The 400A duty cycle at 100% (40°C) allows you to work continuously, even with applications requiring high work cycles.

Technologies Key Benefits

Weco Digital Control

Instantly assured stability and optimal arc balance, from arc ignition to completing the welding operation.

Through the previous generation of DSP (Digital Signal Processor) the inverter digital management permits the welding characteristic to regulate quickly and accurately. The welding parameters are dynamically controlled and changed in real time

Weco Multivoltage

The power supply will never be an issue, even in unstable conditions (such as motorgenerators).

The machine can be connected to any three-phase power supply, as it automatically adapts to the voltage available on site in order to ensure perfect performance at all times. The range of three-phase power supplies starts from 230V (±15%), to 400V (±15%), up to 440V (±15%)

PFC

The Power Pulse Digital greatly reduces the total cost of the required power consumption by means of the PFC (Power Factor Corrector). What are the savings? A 30% saving in power consumption when compared to a traditional inverter and a 45% saving when compared to an electromechanical welding machine

User Interface Quick Setting

Very intuitive and user-friendly interface, even for the less experienced welders.

The large 5” high resolution display allows the parameters to be easily read even in poor lighting conditions. In addition, 7 segments have been added to the display, in order to allow welders to view the main parameters even when they wear a welding mask. The Quick Setting system makes it easier to correctly set up the welding parameters, greatly reducing the machine set-up times

User Interface

A simple and user-friendly interface ensures quick access to all parameters. The large, very bright 5” display ensures a clear and easy to understand view by using the touch screen mode or the dedicated mechanical key

Wire Cutter

The neat wire cut at the end of the welding operation prevents a weld pool from forming, ensuring an optimal next strike.

Stable Arc

The very fast control provided by Weco Digital Control technology allows metal melting to be immediately balanced. This almost entirely removes any splashes in the initial welding stage and the weld bead is even from beginning to end.

Arc Strike

The new starting system controlled by Weco Digital Control technology ensures optimal strikes to be achieved at all time, avoiding initial blows and minimizing the likelihood of spatters. All this in any operating conditions

Special Function

High Control (dHC)

The new Pulsed HC (High Control) boasts a very quick arc control in order to optimize drop detachment with greatly reduced power. The most remarkable welding advantages are as follows:

  • More stable welding arc, with almost no spatter or micro-projections;
  • very reactive arc to the torch movement;
  • reduced energy transmitted to the welded workpiece;
  • very linear transfer with optimal edge wetting at a very high speed of execution.

Power Focus

The special Power Focus function has been designed to reduce total welding costs, reducing the total number of joints to be welded. The main benefits of this function are:

  • higher penetration and lower risk of sticking;
  • increased welding speed;
  • higher arc stability even with long stick-outs;
  • lower costs of joint preparation; reduced volumes of bevels to be filled.

Power Root

The special Power Root function is a short arc transfer, controlled with a cold drop which ensures a very high quality during the root passes.

The main benefits of this function are:

  • optimal first pass;
  • quality of descending vertical welding;
  • excellent operability;
  • cold transfer of welding drop;
  • perfectly jointed thin metal sheets;
  • ideal for welding joints with large gaps

K Deep

The function K-deep, conceived in order to keep even the penetration during welding, independently from stick out variations.

The end result is an optimal combination of features able to perform high quality welding characterized by regular weldment dimensions, constant penetration and reduced joints ‘defects. Safety weldments are here guaranteed also by Stick-out changes.

The effectiveness of the function K-Deep together with the advantages of the HC Process, such as high deposition rate, excellent arc stability and increased welding speed, allow to reach a final result simply perfect.

DSI

The Digital Sense Ignition allows to achieve an almost spatterless ignition without wire explosions and with a low heat energy input to the welded part.

  • 60 % less Spatters in the Ignition-phase on Stainless steel (- 60% > 0,8 mm thickness – 20 % > 5mm thickness)
  • 30 % less Spatters in the Ignition-phase on Carbon steel (- 30% > 0,8 mm thickness – 10 % > 5mm thickness)
  • Ignition Optimization also with wire in short circuit with remarkable spatters´ and explosions´ reduction

POWER MIX

The Power MIX process has the purpose of reducing the average heat input in order to be able to perform welds
in an ascending vertical position, corner seams or external corner seams in all positions with an excellent aesthetic
result of the joint and free from defects.

Features:

  • Simple and quick to set up thanks to the synergic programs dedicated.
  • High execution speed.
  • Welding Arc always stable even in speed changes.
  • Lower heat inputs with minor plates deformations.
  • High aesthetic quality of the joints.
  • Regular weld bead geometry
  • Low risk of defects.
  • Applicable on carbon steel and stainless steel and with different thicknesses
  • + 50% of execution speed compared to the TIG process
  • + 45% of execution speed compared to the SHORT ARC process
  • + 10% of execution speed compared to the DOUBLE PULSED function
